Main Producers of Karaoke Discs
On this page you will find a brief description of the main producers of karaoke discs. You will probably be able
to tell that my favourites for quality are Sound Choice and Pocket Songs, whilst Music Meastro scores high for value. Make sure
you get to hear a sample before you buy!!
 Possibly the biggest cdg manufacturer and also one of the best. Sound Choice offers a massive collection of
karaoke songs that really do sound like the original. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys - the introduction screen
even tells you what musical key you are singing in! These really are excellent karaoke tracks.
 Not as widely known as Sound Choice or Sunfly or as widely available but in terms of both song quality and
graphics these are absolutely stunning karaoke tracks. Hardly the sound of a synthesiser anywhere. I have the 4 disc Sinatra
All Of Me collection on cdg - these have been recorded by real big band musicians playing exactly the same arrangements as
on Sinatra's recordings. As I say absolutely stunning.
 There cannot be anyone who has sung karaoke in a bar who has not sung a track by Sunfly. Their blue cartoon
fly logo which appears before and after every song is a very familiar sight to karaoke singers. This should tell you
something.... Sunfly is the choice of professional karaoke hosts. Not the cheapest option but they do offer quality and
value.
 Some decent arrangements and sound quality, but generally not a patch on Priddis or Sound Choice. The main
thing with Music Maestro is value for money. They produce huge compilations of songs at bargain prices - great for starting
off your collection.
 Not my favourite - they use synthesisers and not very good ones at that. They do give a wide choice and have
some low priced compilation discs.
