Just a word though about
downloading tracks in general. Karaoke downloads are generally
like any other downloads. Please be aware that there are a lot
of unscrupulous people out there on the world wide web who want
to scam you any way they can. When you download ANYTHING to
your PC there is a chance that you might be inviting viruses,
adware or spyware onto your PC. Ensure that your PC is fully
protected BEFORE you do any karaoke downloads.
Viruses are malicious
programs or code which literally infect your computer causing
it to malfunction and/or do unexpected things. Before you even
think about downloading files from the internet please ensure
that your anti-virus software is up to date and that you have
an active firewall installed. Windows has a built in
firewall but you would not be wise to rely on this
alone. Always ensure that your anti-virus
software automatically updates whenever you are connected to
the web, otherwise the latest worm or Trojan may gain access to
your system prior to the updates to your software being
installed. My preferred anti-virus software is
by Kapesrsky Lab one of the world leaders in anti-virus
software. I recommed their all in one Internt Security package
which includes anti-virus protection, anti-spyware and a
firewall.

Spyware and Adware are fast
overtaking email spam as the biggest problem on the
internet. These programs are delivered together with what ever
you have downloaded, usually without your knowledge. Spyware
typically monitors your web surfing habits and reports it back
to the spyware originator and there is some evidence to suggest
that your personal details could be vulnerable. Adware
similarly places a program on your PC which will deliver to you
annoying and irrelevant pop up adverts whilst surfing the net.
Both spyware and adware are a serious infringement of your
privacy. Even if your anti-virus software claims to stop
spyware and adware, I strongly recommend that you have seperate
spyware protection.
If you have no protection
and/or you have noticed these annoying pop ups I strongly
suggest that you click here
to perform a free scan with Stopzilla in order to see how bad
the situation is. This program specifically targets spyware
and malware. You will only have to pay for the program to
remove the spyware/adware not for the initial scan. Another
thing to bear in mind is that a quite a few of the providers
of anti-spyware products will actually pollute your system
with spyware when you download their program. In essence you
are simply changing one lot of spyware for some more.
Therefore use a renowned anti-spyware provider such as
Stopzilla.
